A Static Lullaby to Stir Up Taste of Chaos Tour

By Randy J. Klodz

Chaos lies ahead for emotive rockers A Static Lullaby as the band plans to release its new album “Faso Latido” on April 5, but the band will take on the highly anticipated Taste of Chaos tour first. The Taste of Chaos tour runs through Chicago’s Aragon Ballroom on March 9.

A Static Lullaby—Joe Brown (vocals), Dan Arnold (guitar, vocals), Nathan Lindeman (guitar), Phil Pirrone (bass, vocals) and Brett Dinovo (drums)—has toured the nation religiously, but the rigors of touring keep the California-based band aching for more.

A Static Lullaby’s current tour, the Taste of Chaos tour, pins them with some of emotive rock’s biggest superstars in the Used, My Chemical Romance, Senses Fail, Killswitch Engage, and a handful of others. While a tour of this nature resembles what could be billed as a winter version of the popular summer festival the Vans Warped Tour, A Static Lullaby still has yet to participate in the yearly trek.

“For the first year that the Warped Tour came up when we were a band we were doing Hellfest and Crazyfest and all those hardcore festivals,” said A Static Lullaby lead singer Joe Brown, “so now we’re finally getting our little taste of Warped Tour with this winter Warped Tour Taste of Chaos thing going on. I don’t know what’s up for this summer, but we’re excited to do this nonetheless.”

And anticipation should fuel steady sales of A Static Lullaby’s upcoming album “Faso Latido,” with the high-energy rockers “Marilyn Monrobot,” “Radio Flyer’s Last Journey,” and the more subdued “Godbless You.” “Faso Latido” is scheduled to hit store shelves across the nation on April 5.

With anticipation for the Taste of Chaos tour surging, many dates on the tour have sold out or are about to sell to capacity. Brown said that it’s likely A Static Lullaby will be one of the first mainstage bands to play each night and that fans should arrive to the venue early to see the full A Static Lullaby set.

Aragon Ballroom is at 1106 W. Lawrence Ave. Tickets for this all-ages show are listed for $22.50 each with showtime scheduled for 6 p.m. The Taste of Chaos tour is scheduled to run through April 2 when the tour hits Arizona’s Mesa Amphitheater.
