Eve 6 Returns to Play Schaumburg Show

By Randy J. Klodz

Sure, Southern California-based rock band Eve 6 played what amounted to be the band’s going away show in July of 2004, in St. Louis of all places, but the band is back on the road and ready to play Chicago City Limits in suburban Schaumburg on Jan. 25.

Eve 6—which now includes former members Max Collins (vocals, bass) and Tony Fagenson (drums)—hit it big nearly a decade ago with the alternative rock and pop song “Inside Out,” one of the most played songs of that year. Former Eve 6 guitarist Jon Siebels, however, is not scheduled to join the band on tour.

With its clever mix of rock and the occasional popular ballad, Eve 6 quickly came and went as record label expectations were not met. But, the band, who scored fan favorites other songs like “Here’s to the Night,” “Leech,” “Promise” and “Think Twice,” is once again on the road, this time without the backing of a major label.

While no date has been officially set for a new album release, every indication points to new material surfacing from Eve 6 soon.

Chicago City Limits is at 1712 Wise Rd. in Schaumburg. Tickets for this 21+ show are listed for $20 each with a showtime slated for 10 p.m. Rock band Black Mollies is also scheduled to perform. For more info on Eve 6 log on to www.myspace.com/eve6.
