Feist To Serenade Riviera Theatre

By Randy J. Klodz

While many already know her for her extended career with Broken Social Scene and as a successful solo artist, but the buzz surrounding Canadian singer Feist has swelled as her song “1234” has stood as the audio focus for the current iPod Nano TV commercials. Fans can experience Feist in concert Nov. 17 at Chicago’s Riviera Theatre.

Feist—whose full name is Leslie Feist—is on tour in support of her latest release, “The Reminder,” which hit stores nationwide in May.

“The Reminder,” which features the aforementioned “1234” offers what may be a fan’s first taste of her low-key, enchanting singing voice. Fans may also recognize the moving track “My Moon My Man” which was featured heavily in recent telephone advertisements. Aside from these standout tracks, songs like “Brandy Alexander,” “Honey Honey,” “Past in Present” and “So Sorry” shine.

Longtime Feist fans are sure to recognize her song “Mushaboom” which appeared in popular ads for Lacoste perfume.

Riviera Theatre is at 4746 N. Racine Ave. Tickets for this all-ages show are listed for $28 each with showtime slated for 7:30 p.m. For more info on Feist log on to www.listentofeist.com.
